We look forward to the fun of contacting VHF contesters this January. We appreciate your participation and hope you have fun!
This weekend KA5D/R will be operating Limited Rover class — 6M through 70cm — and roving eight Maidenhead grids starting in EM12 at 13:00CST Saturday and working our way south to our EM10 campsite by 21:00CST. We will be accompanied by KD5IKG/R, who will be operating Unlimited Rover 6M up to 23cm. On Sunday morning at 08:00CST, we move west and south to EM00, EL09, and EL19 before returning to Austin in EM10 by 16:00CST Sunday. We will be transmitting on APRS as KA5D-6, so look for us using this aprs.fi link. Here’s the map of the route, with stop-and-shoot locations pinned:
Jim Wilson, K5ND/R says
We should be able to work one another fairly easily at the beginning of the contest. I will be in far north EM11 and then near Hico in EM01 to start. Here’s the full route https://www.k5nd.net/2019/01/arrl-january-2019-vhf-contest-k5nd-r-route/
